Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre is seeking a Facility Operator to maintain a clean and protected environment for diverse recreational activities. This role ensures community members have a high-quality experience every visit.
In this position, you will report to the Facility Operations Manager, focusing on the management of mechanical systems including ice rinks and pool facilities. The role involves daily inspections, implementing safety measures, and conducting regular custodial duties to enhance the facility's standards. Your commitment to excellent customer service is essential for community satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain HVAC and refrigeration units
• Perform necessary water quality tests




• Maintain arena ice through resurfacing and installation
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Record maintenance activities and incidents accurately
Requirements:
• Required Class 5 Driver’s License
• WHMIS and First Aid Certifications preferred
• Experience in related facility operations preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities
• Capacity to lift up to 80 lbs and stay physically active
