Responsibilities

Day to day, a Food Counter Attendant at Tim Hortons handles a wide range of tasks across both customer service and kitchen operations. These duties are essential for maintaining the quality and cleanliness that guests expect at every visit.

- Serve customers at counters or buffet tables and take their orders accurately
- Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items; portion and wrap foods for takeout
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware; sanitize and wash items by hand
- Clean and sanitize kitchen work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars; receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage areas
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
- Keep records of quantities of food used and handle electronic cash register and food dispensers
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors ; remove kitchen garbage and trash; handle and store cleaning products
- Scour pots and pans and sharpen kitchen knives as required
