The Paqtnkek Preschool/Daycare provides a safe, nurturing, and Mi’kmaw focused setting for children to learn and grow. We are seeking a caring and reliable Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for our children, following health and safety guidelines.

Position Details:

Hours: 4 hours per day, Monday through Friday

Reports to: Daycare Director

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks in accordance with daycare menus and dietary requirements.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
- Manage food inventory and notify the Director when supplies need replenishing.
- Accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
- Work collaboratively with daycare staff to ensure mealtime runs smoothly.

Qualifications:





- Valid Food Handling Course Certification (required).
- Criminal Background Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (required).
- Previouscook ing experience, preferably in a daycare, school setting.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of children.
