Network Administrator / Network Engineer — Calgary, AB, Contract, Onsite We're looking for an experienced Network Administrator / Network Engineer for a hands-on operational role supporting an enterprise networking environment. This chance is ideal for an intermediate-to-senior network professional who enjoys troubleshooting, keeping networks running smoothly, and supporting infrastructure upgrades. Network design and architecture experience is an asset, but the primary focus is day-to-day network operations.

What You'll Do
• Provide day-to-day administration and operational support for enterprise network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot switching, routing, wireless, and firewall issues.
• Monitor network availability and performance and resolve incidents.
• Support network equipment refreshes, upgrades, and implementation activities.
• Work independently within an established IT team.
• Provide onsite network support at district school locations as required.
• Communicate effectively with technical teams and customer stakeholders. Technology Environment
• Switching: HPE Aruba and Arista
• Wireless: HPE Aruba
• Firewalls: Palo Alto Networks
• Routing: Enterprise routing technologies




• Strong Cisco networking experience will also be considered, even without direct Arista or HPE Aruba switching experience. What We're Looking For
• Strong enterprise switching and routing fundamentals.
• Hands-on network operations and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless networks.
• Firewall administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience with network equipment upgrades and lifecycle activities.
• Familiarity with HPE Aruba, Arista, Palo Alto Networks, and/or Cisco technologies.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within an existing IT environment.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills. Location & Travel
• Onsite in Calgary five days per week.
• Travel to various locations approximately one to two times per week.
• Must have access to reliable transportation and their own vehicle for school-site visits. We're prioritizing practical, hands-on networking expertise over senior-level architecture experience or certifications across every listed vendor. No agencies, please.
