Full Stack Developer, C++ / Angular

Laval, Québec Work model: Onsite, 3 to 4 days per week Team: Mining Technology Language: Strong English required; French is an asset About the opportunity Amaris Consulting is looking for a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in contemporary C++ and Angular to join a mining technology team in Laval. You will contribute to software solutions that support mining operations, combining high-performance C++ back-end components with modern Angular applications used by engineering and operations teams. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment alongside software engineers, product owners, data specialists, and operational stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and maintain back-end services and software components in modern C++.
• Build responsive, scalable, and maintainable front-end applications using Angular and TypeScript.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs connecting C++ back-end services with Angular applications.
• Work with relational and non-relational databases to store, query, and optimize operational data.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, data, and operations teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Write clean, reliable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards and best practices.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, application deployment, and production monitoring.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to automated testing and quality-assurance activities.
• Document technical designs, system decisions, APIs, and implementation details.
• Apply secure software-development practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement of software architecture, development processes, and team practices.



Required qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a comparable software-development role.
• Strong hands-on experience with modern C++, including C++11, C++14, C++17, or later.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Angular
• TypeScript
• HTML
• CSS
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
• Familiarity with Git and modern source-control practices.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, deployment, and monitoring.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Laval 3 to 4 days per week. Nice-to-have qualifications
• Experience with Qt or other C++ application frameworks.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, Docker, or cloud-native development.
• Knowledge of industrial, IoT, telemetry, or real-time operational data.
• Experience working with mining, heavy equipment, industrial automation, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience optimizing high-performance or data-intensive applications.
• Knowledge of monitoring, logging, observability, and production-support practices.
