Calgary-based Senior Estimator and Cost Engineer develops Class 5 through Class 3 estimates for Trans Mountain’s sustaining capital projects in office.Reporting to the Lead, Estimating, this contractor supports multiple project estimate classes. The work combines estimating expertise, project-controls knowledge, benchmarking, and industry practices. Collaboration with project managers and teams helps validate scope, engineering maturity, and project objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare estimate plans and develop Class 5 through Class 3 estimatesValidate scope, engineering maturity,



and alignment with project objectivesParticipate in estimate reviews and validation sessionsProvide cost data for decisions and project planningCoordinate quantitative risk analysis and contingency sessionsRequirements:
Post-secondary education in engineering, project management, business, or related fieldEight-plus years estimating or cost engineering experiencePipeline infrastructure and energy facilities experienceKnowledge of estimating, cost management, planning, risk, and change managementProficiency developing cost models and estimate workbooksApply estimating, cost engineering, project controls, and benchmarking expertise to support accurate project decisions at Trans Mountain.
