We need a skilled Director to bring our sci-fi drama pilot to life from day one. This independent production offers a compelling narrative set in a near-future Toronto, blending gritty realism with subtle speculative elements. The tone is suspenseful and character-driven, exploring themes of surveillance and personal freedom. Key responsibilities include collaborating with the producer and DP, leading rehearsals, blocking scenes, and guiding performances to achieve our vision. You'll be instrumental in shaping the creative direction and establishing the visual language for potential series pickup. Please provide a directing reel demonstrating your visual acumen and ability to elicit powerful performances. While we are a small production, we will provide a solid production team, necessary permits, and a comfortable working workplace. Gear will be sourced by the production. Prep will begin immediately.
