Provide acute care nursing at Dawson City Community Hospital while supporting emergency stabilization and individualized patient care in Yukon’s wilderness.
Yukon Hospitals seeks a Registered Nurse for a regular part-time, 0.5 FTE position. The six-month-on, six-month-off schedule covers June through November and December through May. Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will administer medical and therapeutic programs, develop nursing care plans, and provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer physician-ordered medical and therapeutic programs
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
Stabilize multiple trauma and critically ill patients
Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patient care
Deliver treatment services and health education
Requirements:
Diploma or baccalaureate degree in Nursing
Current Yukon Registered Nurses Association registration
Two to three years of acute care nursing experience
Current CPR, Yukon driver’s licence, and crisis intervention certification
Robust communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Bring acute care expertise, sound judgment, and emergency nursing capability to patients at Dawson City Community Hospital.
