Role Overview

As a member of the IKO ERP Development team, the Microsoft Dynamics ERP Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions.

We are seeking an experienced developer with strong hands-on expertise in either Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (X++) or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL). Experience with both technologies is welcome but is not required.

The role involves technical analysis, solution design, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, integration development, and ongoing ERP application support.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional technology teams, Business Analysts, end users, and IT project leadership to deliver scalable, reliable solutions that meet business requirements.

Job Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, enhance, and support Microsoft Dynamics ERP applications to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain ERP customizations, extensions, and enhancements using X++ or AL, depending on the applicable platform and project requirements.
- Create and modify application components, including forms, tables, classes, data entities, workflows, reports, and extensions, as applicable.
- Implement business rules, validations, workflow automation, and scalable ERP application enhancements.
- Perform technical analysis and provide effort estimates for development tasks, projects, requirements, and proposed solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and support integrations using REST APIs, OData, Azure services, and platform-specific integration tools.




- Coordinate and test interfaces with external applications, troubleshooting and resolving integration-related issues.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues to improve system performance, stability, and user experience.
- Support ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, migrations, and ongoing application maintenance.
- Monitor and respond to development requests and incidents logged through the Service Desk.
- Coordinate with external vendors for issue investigation, reporting, and resolution.
- Participate in source control, code reviews, build management, testing, and deployment processes using Azure DevOps and other relevant development tools.
- Collaborate with functional teams, Business Analysts, and other developers to deliver stable, scalable, and supportable ERP solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation, solution design, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Dynamics ERP development.
- Strong hands-on development expertise in at least one of the following:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Dynamics AX: Development and customization using X++.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / Dynamics NAV: Development and customization using AL, with relevant legacy NAV/C/AL experience considered an asset.

- Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting ERP customizations, extensions, integrations, and application enhancements.
- Knowledge of development frameworks, debugging, testing, and application lifecycle management relevant to the candidate's Dynamics platform.
- Experience with ERP integration technologies such as REST APIs, OData, web services, or platform-specific integration frameworks.
- Experience using Azure DevOps or comparable tools for source control, build management, and deployments.
- Experience working in enterprise ERP environments.
- Exposure to ERP implementations, upgrades, cloud migrations, or enterprise application support.
- Understanding of ERP business processes,



including Finance, Supply Chain Management, Sales, and Operations.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, coding, debugging, testing, documentation, deployment, and support.
- Experience applying Microsoft development best practices to build maintainable, scalable, and upgrade-compatible solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

- Development experience across both Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (X++) and Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL).
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
- Experience with Azure-based integrations and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience with Dynamics 365 F&O; Data Management Framework (DMF), data entities, and SSRS reporting.
- Experience with Business Central extensions, APIs, integration development, and legacy Dynamics NAV environments.
- Experience developing or supporting reporting solutions, including Power BI or Jet Reports.
- Experience supporting global ERP deployments across multiple business units or geographic regions.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or other complex enterprise environments.
