Process current planning applications and provincial referrals as a full-time Planner with the RDKB. Use planning expertise and public service skills daily.

Reporting to the Current Planning Supervisor, this permanent Planner position supports the Planning and Development Department team. You will respond to planning questions from the public and development community while handling current applications and provincial referrals. Occasional work outside regular hours supports public engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process current planning applications and provincial referrals
- Respond to planning questions from the public
- Provide customer service to the development community
- Support public engagement outside regular working hours when required

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree in Planning or related discipline
- Minimum one year planning office experience
- Local government experience preferably included
- Eligible for skilled planning institute membership
- Microsoft suite proficiency and valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
