Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the Casual Cook prepares nutritious meals for 57 residents in AVENS’ state-of-the-art kitchen. The work emphasizes healthy food, special diets, and institutional cooking. Experience with elderly people is considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare healthy and nutritious meals for 57 residents
- Apply special-diet considerations during meal preparation
- Perform institutional cooking in AVENS’ kitchen
- Report to the Food Services Manager

Requirements:

- Completed culinary program
- At least two years commercial or institutional cooking experience
- Experience working with elderly people is an asset
- Current valid Food Protected Certification and WHMIS 2015 are assets
- Obtain and maintain satisfactory Vulnerable Sector criminal record check
