Lead aquatic operations at Oak Ridges Pool with staff supervision, emergency response, and instructional program oversight. This permanent part-time position serves Richmond Hill’s community recreation programs.

The Aquatic Leader supports program and service delivery across instructional programs, recreational swims, and private pool rentals. You will supervise Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, Attendants, Deck Supervisors, and volunteers while maintaining aquatic policies and procedures. The role includes administration, coaching, evaluation, and facility responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Open and close Oak Ridges Pool according to procedures
- Lead daily operations and communicate with full-time staff
- Supervise instructional programs, recreational swims, and pool rentals




- Evaluate aquatic staff and volunteers to maintain program quality
- Respond to emergencies and complete required follow-up reporting

Requirements:

- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Current National Lifeguard, Swim Instructor, and Lifesaving Instructor certifications
- Current Standard or Intermediate First Aid certification recognized by WSIB Ontario
- Aquatic Supervisor Training and Bronze Examiner certification
- One to three years’ aquatic supervisory experience in municipal recreation
