The Opportunity

We are lookingfor an accomplished Business Systems Analyst to join our Analyst teamas part of our financial services businessin Montreal.

Your primary responsibilities include:

- Meet with business stakeholders to understand day-to-day challenges, clarify needs and document business and functional requirements.
- Analyse existing processes, data and system usage to identify gaps, root causes and opportunities to improve efficiency and controls.
- Translate business needs into clear user stories, process maps, acceptance criteria and specifications for technology teams.




- Work with developers, testers and business users throughout delivery to answer questions, refine requirements and confirm that solutions meet the agreed objectives.
- Prepare test scenarios, coordinate user acceptance testing, track defects and support the resolution of issues before release.
- Maintain project and operational documentation, including requirements, decisions, action logs, procedures and user guidance.
- Monitor requests, priorities, risks and dependencies, and provide clear progress updates to stakeholders.
- Support implemented solutions by investigating user queries, validating data and reports, and coordinating fixes or continuous improvements.

What You Bring

You are an experienced and motivated business analyst who can take ownership of assignments, work confidently with stakeholders and turn complex business needs into practical, well-defined solutions.

You will bring:

- Three to five years of relevant experience in business analysis, business systems analysis or technology delivery, ideally within financial or professional services.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting requirements, analysing processes, developing user stories or specifications, and supporting solutions through delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues,



identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.
- Confidence working directly with stakeholders, facilitating discussions, constructively challenging assumptions and managing expectations.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate effectively between business users and technology teams.
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing, issue resolution, implementation and post-release improvements.
- A proactive and organised approach, with the judgement to manage priorities, work independently and elevate risks when required.
- A relevant undergraduate or graduate degree, or equivalent practical experience.
