The City of Burlington seeks a General Service Person reporting to the Manager, Transit Maintenance. You will support fleet readiness, detailed vehicle cleaning, and operational change-offs. Duties cover buses, cars, trucks, and vans while meeting reasonable time expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive, fuel, sweep, vacuum, and remove litter
- Check oil, coolant, washer fluid, diesel exhaust fluid, and tires
- Remove and dump fare boxes weighing up to 30 pounds
- Clean Transit vehicle interiors and exteriors using cleaning products
- Perform vehicle change-offs as required by Operations

Requirements:

- Grade 12 education
- Valid Ontario GZ licence with ability to upgrade to CZ
- Mechanical aptitude using cleaning and maintenance equipment
- Acceptable driver’s abstract with specified conviction and demerit limits
- Ability to perform physically demanding, repetitive shift work
