Lead volunteer programs and student placements at STEGH while coordinating training, compliance, and engagement across the hospital. Work Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours weekly.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this specialist leads volunteer services and serves as the primary contact for student placements. The work supports more than 80 volunteers and 300 to 400 annual placements across nursing, allied health, and clerical disciplines. Success requires volunteer management software, learning management systems, and robust relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, training, engagement, and recognition
- Manage post-secondary placements across nursing, allied health, and clerical disciplines
- Coordinate co-op placements and job shadow opportunities




- Maintain educational partnerships and affiliation agreements
- Support performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and recognition

Requirements:

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, social science, or related program
- Minimum three years working with healthcare volunteers or students
- Expertise in Volunteer Management Software and Learning Management Systems
- Knowledge of Employment Standards Act, Human Rights, and AODA
- Strong confidentiality, communication, organization, and Microsoft Office skills
