Craft visual stories for CBC Vancouver as a full time, on-site Video Producer, using advanced camera, editing, and storytelling skills. Weekend work is required.

This permanent English Services position creates content for CBC News platforms. You will pitch, shoot, edit, and package stories featuring diverse and underrepresented communities. The work serves CBC’s News App, FAST Channel, CBC GEM, social media, website, radio, and television.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conceive, pitch, develop, and edit story concepts
- Research, write, interview, shoot, and edit visual content
- Operate cameras and ancillary production equipment
- Set visual style, pace, format, and platform treatment
- Travel occasionally for breaking news and planned assignments





Requirements:

- Degree or certificate and five years’ practical industry experience
- Proven highly creative and cutting-edge visual storytelling record
- Advanced camera, broadcast equipment, and editing platform knowledge
- Understanding of visual production and post-production storytelling methods
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
