Support resident wellbeing through recreation programming as a Recreation Aide at Sienna Senior Living’s Cawthra Gardens Community in Mississauga. Use leisure principles and senior engagement experience.

This permanent part time Recreation Aide role includes days and evenings in long-term care. Reporting to the Director of Resident Programs, you will develop activities tailored to residents’ physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment. You will also build relationships with residents and families while supporting social connection.

Key Responsibilities:

- Contribute to developing and refining recreation programs and initiatives
- Prepare daily activities supporting physical, cognitive, and emotional enjoyment
- Assess residents’ interests, needs, and progress with support




- Maintain program records and report participation and feedback
- Lead activities and special events encouraging resident social interaction

Requirements:

- Post-secondary recreation, leisure, kinesiology, or related education
- Equivalent experience working with seniors may be considered
- Experience working with seniors and understanding motivation concepts
- Understanding of leisure principles
- Legal eligibility to work and required background checks
