Support early childhood development through attachment-supporting guidance and play-based learning at Annavale Headstart in Ottawa. Work across two in-person programs.

This relief/casual Early Years Program Worker contract supports children and families at Annavale Headstart and EarlyON. You will foster healthy attachment, socio-emotional development, and self-regulation. The work includes playgroups, workshops, child-centered activities, and family support within Ontario’s early learning framework.

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver playgroups and EarlyON programs for children aged 0–6
- Create secure, engaging, developmentally appropriate environments
- Implement play-based and nature-based learning activities
- Support families, caregivers, and children through effective communication




- Provide coverage across main and satellite locations

Requirements:

- Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent experience required
- Valid Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators registration required
- Three to five years’ early childhood experience with children aged 0–6
- Experience with marginalized communities and diverse clientele
- French fluency preferred; relevant third language is an asset
