About the Role

Our client, a prominent recruitment consultancy based in Kimberley, Northern Cape , is actively seeking a Recruitment Specialist to focus on the vital Mining Sector. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a blend of office-based collaboration in Kimberley and remote flexibility. You will be instrumental in sourcing and placing skilled professionals within the mining industry, covering roles from geologists and engineers to operations managers and safety officers. This position demands a recruiter who understands the unique demands and challenges of the mining environment and possesses strong candidate engagement skills. We are looking for an individual passionate about connecting talent with opportunities in this key South African industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and identify qualified candidates for a wide range of mining and related technical roles.
- Screen resumes and conduct interviews to assess candidate suitability for specific mining positions.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies tailored to the mining sector, utilizing various channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients within the mining industry, understanding their workforce needs.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from initial contact to offer negotiation and successful placement.
- Stay informed about trends, safety regulations,



and talent availability within the mining sector.
- Provide guidance to candidates on career development within the mining industry.
- Maintain accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

Requirements

- Minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience, ideally with exposure to the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates for technical and operational roles.
- Understanding of the mining industry's operational environment and specific skill requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with ATS and other recruitment technologies.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Ability to work effectively within a hybrid model, balancing remote and office-based tasks in Kimberley.
