Lead hotel engineering operations at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver using maintenance coordination, building systems knowledge, and hands-on leadership. Work across a 24/7 luxury property.

As Engineering Manager, support the Director and Assistant Director of Engineering at Vancouver’s historic “Castle in the City.” Coordinate maintenance activities, preventative maintenance programs, inspections, work orders, and operational priorities. Support guest comfort, colleague safety, contractor coordination, and reliable hotel operations across guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, work orders, and colleague assignments
- Inspect guestrooms, public areas, mechanical spaces, and hotel facilities
- Support preventative maintenance across building systems and hotel areas




- Coordinate contractors, vendors, repairs, and project work
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to Engineering colleagues

Requirements:

- Minimum two years of supervisory or management experience
- Previous hotel Engineering experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration systems
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility for wide-ranging shifts, weekends, evenings, and occasional overnights
