Early Childhood Educator – Infant/Toddler (ECE IT) NOC: 42202

Position Title: Early Childhood Educator – Inclusion Teacher (ECE-IT)

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Wage: $24 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with 40 hours per week

Functions and Responsibilities

- Developing and implementing inclusive lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of all children.
- Creating a safe and engaging learning environment that promotes physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Observing and assessing children’s development and progress to inform teaching strategies.
- Collaborating with families, support staff, and other professionals to support each child’s individual needs.
- Facilitating activities that encourage social interactions and peer relationships among children.
- Maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes inclusivity and diversity.
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
- Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and career development opportunities.

Requirements

- Education: ECE College Diploma




- Early Childhood Education (ECE) – IT
- Professional Certificate: Bristish Columbia ECE Certificate + Special Needs Educator
- Certificate + Infant / Toddler Educator Certificate
- First Aid Certicate is required
- Security and safety: Criminal record check
- Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is available
- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail; Combination of sitting, standing, walking; Bending, crouching, kneeling; Personal suitability; Flexibility, Values and ethics, Creativity, Honesty, Ability to multitask
