Explore 3D reconstruction research with Peripheral in Toronto, implementing models and evaluating spatial intelligence methods for real captured data. This in-office internship requires relocation or local presence.
As a Research Intern on Peripheral’s Reconstruction team, you’ll own a defined project in 3D reconstruction, neural rendering, diffusion-based modeling, or world models. You’ll move from research ideas and papers to working implementations, experiments, and explicit evaluation. Your work can feed directly into reconstruction development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own a research project from idea through evaluation
- Implement techniques from literature and personal research ideas
- Evaluate methods using real captured multi-sensor data
- Build experiment tooling and evaluation infrastructure
- Present findings and document results for future development
Requirements:
- Enrollment in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, or related studies
- Peer-reviewed publications in reconstruction, diffusion, or world models
- Strong research experience in 3D reconstruction or related areas
- Python and deep learning framework proficiency
- Legal Canadian work authorization and Toronto in-office availability
Apply your research judgment, model-building skills, and communication strengths to Peripheral’s 3D reconstruction and spatial intelligence work.
