Cell Guards monitor the safety and well-being of persons in custody and perform required duties. The schedule follows four days on and four days off, including two day shifts and two overnight shifts. Candidates must meet physical standards, communicate effectively in English, and provide solid customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Observe prisoners frequently and irregularly, including through CCTV
- Organize meals and maintain prisoner activity records
- Secure cell doors, keys, and personal effects




- Search cells before occupation and after vacancy
- Monitor fire safety and dispense approved medications

Requirements:

- Be at least 19 and Canadian resident for five years
- Obtain RCMP Enhanced Clearance and Reliability Clearance
- Hold valid Basic First Aid and security license
- Possess Advanced Security Training and computer skills
- Bend, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 20 kilograms
