The Residential Counsellor provides care and support to boys and girls experiencing difficulties at home. Reporting to the Direct Services Supervisor, this position promotes each child’s best interests within residential care. On-the-job training supports new skill development, while social services or child welfare experience is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support and care to group home clients
- Promote children’s safety, health, and well-being
- Protect children and promote their best interests
- Support structured living in a residential group home
- Report to the Direct Services Supervisor

Requirements:

- Interest in working with children and youth
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Personal time management abilities
- Willingness to learn recent skills through on-the-job training
- Ability to travel; no remote work or relocation assistance
