Position Summary: The Financial Counselor, Oncology is responsible for maintaining insurance demographics and A/R by use of telephone, internet, worklists, ATBs and appropriate letters to patients. Meet with every patient to discuss his/her financial responsibility based on the treatment plan and insurance advantages inclusive of both Silver Cross Hospital and the University of Chicago. Work closely with other staff in Billing, Collections, Customer Service, and Financial Counseling at both organizations to reduce redundancy in work and communications. Evaluate need for
