Support residents at Pioneer Ridge in Thunder Bay through basic nursing care, daily living assistance, and person-centred service every day.

As a Personal Support Worker, you will support 150 residents within a skilled team of more than 200 staff. You will provide individualized care according to resident care plans, skilled and legislative standards, and Pioneer Ridge’s caring philosophy. The role includes multidisciplinary collaboration, documentation, and resident safety.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide basic nursing care under established nursing programs
- Support resident participation in daily living activities
- Contribute to resident care plans and conferences
- Report physical and mental condition changes to Registered Nurses




- Maintain safe environments and respond appropriately during emergencies

Requirements:

- Complete a recognized Ministry-approved personal support worker program
- Or enroll in registered practical nursing or registered nursing studies
- Demonstrate genuine understanding of elderly residents’ needs
- Meet competency requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
