Support children through inclusive curriculum programming as a Level 1 Child Care Educator with the YMCA of Northern Alberta, working part time on-site.

This term position supports children aged 0-12 through National YMCA Child Care and Provincial curriculum programming. Provide one-to-one FSCD support, assist daily routines, implement individualized strategies, and promote inclusion. The term ends March 31, 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement YMCA curriculum supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Facilitate activities encouraging creativity, exploration, and positive social interactions
- Observe and document development and behavior for individualized learning
- Communicate daily with parents about child development updates




- Assist with routines, personal care, mobility, and medication needs

Requirements:

- Level 1 Child Care Certification, or certification in progress
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
- Experience supporting children with developmental disabilities preferred
- Ability to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check
- Tablet and Microsoft Office Word experience
