About the Role

Our client, a prominent non-governmental organization dedicated to enhancing social welfare in Kimberley, is seeking an experienced Social Services Program Manager. This hybrid role requires a blend of strategic planning and oversight from a remote base, coupled with essential in office presence to manage and develop impactful programs. You will lead a team, oversee program budgets, ensure quality service delivery, and drive initiatives that address critical community needs. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving positive social outcomes for residents in the Northern Cape. This position demands strong managerial acumen, a deep understanding of social services, and excellent stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of various social service programs.
- Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and financial accountability.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of social workers, case managers, and support staff.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and funders.
- Ensure programs adhere to legal requirements, ethical standards, and organizational policies.
- Monitor program performance and outcomes, making data-driven adjustments to improve effectiveness.
- Develop funding proposals and reports for grant applications and donor engagement.
- Represent the organization at external meetings, conferences,



and community forums.
- Identify emerging community needs and develop new program initiatives accordingly.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within the social services sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex social programs and budgets.
- Strong leadership, team management, and staff development skills.
- Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in program evaluation methodologies and data analysis.
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of social welfare systems and community dynamics in South Africa, particularly the Northern Cape.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing remote responsibilities with on-site requirements in Kimberley.
