Operate CGS equipment from Frobisher Depot as an Equipment Operator B, using loaders, tandem trucks, sweepers, and municipal tractors. Shift work may be required.

The City of Greater Sudbury seeks one permanent Equipment Operator B for Roads Operations. Under a Foreperson’s supervision, you will operate equipment on CGS construction and maintenance properties. The work includes transporting personnel, materials, supplies, equipment, and refuse. Grade XII education is required, while sectional experience is not necessary. The position is covered by CUPE 4705 Outside Unit and provides 80 hours bi-weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate tandem trucks, sweepers, flushers, tractors, loaders, and attachments
- Load and unload trucks using manual or mechanical devices
- Transport personnel, materials, supplies,



equipment, and refuse
- Oversee small work crews performing routine duties
- Maintain knowledge of CGS safety requirements and legislation

Requirements:

- Successful completion of Grade XII education
- Proven ability to operate various CGS equipment units
- Read equipment manuals and routine maintenance instructions
- Perform routine equipment maintenance using mechanical knowledge
- Hold a valid Class DZ licence and acceptable driving record

Support Roads Operations with equipment operation, transportation, maintenance, and crew oversight at the Frobisher Depot.
