Test Kobo eReader software and devices as a Quality Assurance Intern in Toronto, using analytical troubleshooting skills in a hybrid setting.

Rakuten Kobo’s eReader team seeks an intern starting January 2027. You will create test cases, document defects, validate fixes, and support testing across the development lifecycle. Collaboration with QA Engineers, Software Developers, Product Managers, and other partners will build practical experience in software quality assurance and device testing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Create and maintain test cases and test plans
- Document, track, and verify software defects
- Prepare eReaders, devices, and testing equipment




- Collect diagnostic logs and support issue investigations

Requirements:

- Enrollment in a technical program such as Computer Science
- Familiarity with programming or scripting, such as Python
- Basic understanding of software development and testing concepts
- Robust organization, documentation, and communication skills
- Interest in troubleshooting systems, devices, or software

Develop software testing, device validation, and quality engineering skills while supporting Kobo eReader releases in Toronto.
