Apply hematology expertise to diagnostic specimen testing with LifeLabs as a part time casual Medical Lab Technologist. Deliver accurate, timely results supporting patient well-being.

This existing position focuses on hematology testing, specimen preparation, interpretation, and reporting. The role includes quality assurance, laboratory safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with laboratory staff, pathologists, and healthcare professionals. LifeLabs facilities are teaching laboratories supporting knowledge sharing and student placements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct diagnostic and interpretive hematology specimen testing
- Prepare, label, document, and process patient samples
- Interpret and release confidential patient results




- Identify non-conformities and support corrective action plans
- Maintain safety, quality, and organized laboratory practices

Requirements:

- Medical Laboratory Science diploma, degree, or equivalent experience
- CMLTO registration in positive standing
- Knowledge of basic flow cytometry principles preferred
- Hematology and transfusion medicine testing experience is an asset
- Strong computer, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
