Support individualized goals and well-being as a Residential Counsellor with Tamir, using person-centred care and robust communication skills. Work occurs at home and in the community.

Under general supervision, this Residential Counsellor supports individuals with developmental disabilities according to their needs, preferences, and goals. The position implements Personal Outcome Plans rather than leading case management. Daily work includes personal care, medications, community participation, advocacy, documentation, and communication with families, teams, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build respectful, consistent relationships with individuals
- Provide individualized personal care and health support
- Administer medications and treatments according to policy




- Implement Personal Outcome Plans and track progress
- Maintain accurate confidential records and required documentation

Requirements:

- DSW diploma plus one year relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- Valid G driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication, judgment, organization, and teamwork skills
