This interim Mechanical Engineer role supports custom packaging machinery and automation projects. You will design complex mechanical systems, create drawings and BOMs, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and project teams. The work spans the full machinery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design custom packaging machinery and automated equipment
- Create mechanical drawings, assemblies, layouts, and BOMs
- Specify OEM components for turnkey automation systems
- Support machine build, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting




- Review designs for manufacturability, quality, performance, and cost

Requirements:

- Mechanical Engineering degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification
- Five to eight years of mechanical design experience
- Automation, industrial machinery, custom equipment, or packaging experience
- CAD proficiency; Autodesk Inventor experience highly desirable
- Knowledge of pneumatics, power transmission, and machine safety
