This Consultant Psychiatrist post supports the Older Adults Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team and Dementia Intensive Support Service. Based at The Cavell Centre, the role provides specialist assessment and intensive support for acute mental health crises, complex needs, and deteriorating wellbeing. Care is short term and focused on safety, wellbeing, and empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead clinical and operational development of the service
- Manage complex, high-risk patients using evidence-based interventions
- Coordinate care with patients, carers, colleagues, and agencies




- Complete clinical audit, outcome measures, and quality improvement
- Provide teaching, supervision, and training across disciplines

Requirements:

- General Medical Council professional registration
- Approved Clinician and Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval
- Commitment to qualified codes of conduct
- Ability to travel between Trust sites and community contacts
- Compliance with Trust policies, NICE standards, and procedures
