About Us

Dasmesh Transport Inc. is a Brampton-based trucking company providing freight/logistics services, including long-haul and regional transportation across Canada and the U.S. We are looking for an experienced Purchaser to join our team.

Duties

- Purchase fleet parts, tires, lubricants, fuel, tools, equipment, and shop supplies.
- Identify suppliers and vendors, request and compare quotes, and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders, ensuring confirmation of delivery dates.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies to keep trucks and trailers operational.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations staff to determine purchasing needs.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documents, resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain purchasing records,



supplier files, and pricing databases.
- Evaluate supplier performance and nurture relationships with vendors.
- Process warranty claims and returns as needed.
- Help control purchasing costs and prepare purchasing reports.

Requirements

- Education: College diploma or university degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- Experience: 2 years or more of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in trucking, transportation or heavy equipment
- Language: English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of truck and trailer parts, or willingness to learn quickly
- Solid negotiation, organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and purchasing or inventory software
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
