As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Re-Roofing Estimator to play a keyrole in delivering accurate and competitive bids for projects involving thereplacement or recovery of existing roofs. This role requires expertise inassessing current roof conditions, accounting for demolition and disposal costs,identifying potential hidden damage, and ensuring compliance with updatedbuilding codes for retrofit projects. What You’ll Do

- Review project plans, specifications, inspection reports, and relateddocuments to prepare accurate estimates for re-roofing projects
- Conduct thorough site visits to assess existing roof conditions, includingcore cuts and moisture scans as required
- Identify potential structural issues, water damage, and substrate repairsthat could affect scope and cost
- Factor in demolition, tear-off, and disposal requirements in all costbreakdowns
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing andavailability for retrofit-compatible materials and equipment
- Prepare and present detailed cost breakdowns and bid proposals that includecontingency planning for unforeseen issues
- Collaborate closely with project managers, sales, and the estimating team toensure project goals, schedules, and budgets align
- Track and manage changes to project scope,



ensuring estimates remain accurateas new site conditions emerge
- Assist with post-bid reviews and participate in project handoffs tooperations to ensure smooth project execution

What You Bring to the Team

- 3+ years of experience in roofing estimating, with specific experience inre-roofing and retrofit projects
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, EPDM, ModifiedBitumen, BUR) and their associated installation methods, tear-off methods,and retrofit installation practices
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, specifications, and existingroof condition reports
- Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to anticipate hidden costs and plan for contingencies in complexretrofit work
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Experience with estimating software is an asset (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift,etc.)
- Valid driver’s license

Role Snapshot

- Location: Ottawa – 12260 Gypsy Lane, Winchester, ON
- Job Type: Permanent | Full time | Onsite
- Anticipated Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (based on experience)
- Pay Schedule: Paid bi-weekly, every second Friday
- Reports To: Re-Roofing Estimating Manager
