Job summary

We are hiring a Collections Specialist to join our Collections team in Calgary. The Collections Specialist is responsible for debt recovery on behalf of clients as part of a team of lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants performing debt recovery litigation work within a broader litigation practice. The Collections Specialist conducts investigations to identify assets, evaluates collection potential, develops collection strategy, negotiates and monitors repayment terms, and prepares accounts for legal action.

- Using a business-minded approach to assess files for likelihood of collection to align individual and team recovery efforts with collection potential
- Making outbound collection calls and responding to inbound calls and emails in an efficient and professional manner
