Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage security controls for cloud environments (AWS, Azure). Develop and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, WAFs, IDS/IPS, and SIEM solutions. Automate security processes and tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash). Conduct security assessments and vulnerability management for applications and infrastructure. Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and documentation. Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps).



Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies. Participate in security architecture reviews and provide expert recommendations. Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures. Perform regular security audits and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred) and associated services. Strong experience with network security, endpoint security, and application security concepts. Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, and vulnerability scanning tools. Expertise in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation. Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fully remote team environment. Experience relevant to the needs of a tech company, with capabilities expected for roles based in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA, although fully remote. Benefits
