Design datacenter-scale software in Ottawa with C++, firmware, and system bring-up expertise. This in-person position owns development from concept through production. As a Principal Software Engineer at Broadcom, you will deliver ultra-high-performance software and firmware for complex multiprocessor architectures. Your work may span OpenBMC, ZephyrOS, embedded Linux, Yocto builds, device drivers, microcode, and upper-level control software. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and partner teams. Experience developing C++ or C for datacenter architectures Experience with Linux, Yocto, OpenBMC, or ZephyrOS Expertise in silicon, board, and system bring-up Knowledge of low-level interfaces and management protocols Bachelor's engineering degree and 12+ years' experience Bring principal-level C++, firmware, debugging, and lifecycle ownership expertise to Broadcom's Ottawa datacenter systems team.
