The Water Filtration Operations Manager assists with planning and supervising plant operation and maintenance. The position oversees operators, filtration processes, equipment, laboratory testing, records, and regulatory compliance. It also supports budgets, personnel development, safety, repairs, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, schedule, supervise, and participate in operator work
- Monitor equipment, filtration processes, samples, and laboratory results
- Prepare reports and maintain collection and filtration records
- Inspect facilities and coordinate repairs, bids,



and contracts
- Conduct safety inspections, meetings, and training

Requirements:

- Considerable experience in water filtration plant operations
- Relevant college coursework in biology, chemistry, or environmental sciences
- Class A Surface Water Treatment Operator certification upon hire
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license upon hire
- Wastewater certification and CPR/First Aid within required timelines
