As a Staff individual contributor, you will own application, transaction, and account takeover fraud strategy across card products. You will work independently with manager-level impact, guiding data scientists and analytics developers through expertise and influence. The role balances fraud losses, operational costs, and client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own fraud strategy across Wealthsimple card products
- Manage card fraud loss budgets as volumes grow
- Design, backtest, ship, and tune detection rules
- Set thresholds for machine learning risk scores
- Partner with Product and Engineering on fraud controls

Requirements:

- 6+ years of fraud prevention experience
- 3+ years directly working on card fraud
- Advanced SQL for transaction-level data
- Experience building and tuning fraud rules
- Ability to influence without direct authority
