The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the productivity and performance of our service team ensuring that the needs and expectations of our customers are met.

- Direct the Service Department Team to achieve sales, profits and efficiency by maximizing production, controlling costs, marketing, building a clientele and establishing solid employee and customer relationships.
- Hire, educate, motivate, guide and evaluate performance of Service Department staff.
- Plan, analyze and manage department finances through determining shop capacity, services in customer demand, and how department skills match customer requirements in coordination with our Shop Foreman.
- Comprehend, keep current and comply with laws that affect the dealership Service Department.




- Establish processes & standards to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
- Actively participate in annual forecasting and weekly management team meetings.
- Assist with the creation and management of the Service Department annual operating budget.
- Act as liaison with factory representatives.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

- Valid G driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable safe driving record.
- High School Diploma or College Degree
- 5 -10 years' combined experience in automotive service environment (e.g. manager within an automotive establishment, automotive technician or shop foreman)
- Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics.
- Sound knowledge of cost factors, accounting, profit management and volume assessment.
- Leadership ability and team building skills with a desire to achieve the very best in customer service.
- Ability to foster solid interdepartmental synergy.

Compensation Plan

Combination of salary and performance based bonus tied to department performance metrics and objectives, for a total compensation plan between $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year.
