The Manager, Research and Development leads tortillas, bagels, and English muffins projects from concept through commercialization. This hands-on leader manages food scientists and technologists while developing formulations, optimizing processes, and supporting plant execution. The role aligns technical work with consumer, customer, manufacturing, food safety, quality, sustainability, and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the R&D; pipeline for flatbreads and breakfast products
- Develop formulations and production processes for assigned portfolios
- Plan lab bakes, plant trials, scale-ups, and validations




- Provide troubleshooting and root-cause support to Operations
- Coach teams and coordinate cross-functional technical transfers

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Food Science or related field
- At least eight years of progressive food industry R&D; experience
- Minimum five years in a leadership role
- End-to-end commercialization and technical transfer experience
- Knowledge of CFIA, FDA, food safety, and quality systems
