Job Description

Mandate Overview:

- The client is looking for a project manager who owns theentire delivery: project plan, deliverables, budget, schedule, risks anddeliverable approval. The role places the person at the centre of a broadecosystem (sponsor, managers, contribution leads, external integrator) andgives them authority over resource change requests. Reporting goes directly tothe sponsor and the steering committee, which requires a level of politicalacumen explicitly named in the mandate. What sets this mandate apart from a genericproject manager role is the note on financial knowledge: derivatives,accounting and financial risk, at a basic level, combined with a softwareintegration and platform change project. PMP, MGP or ACP certification islisted among the required knowledge, with no mention of it being an asset.

- Target candidate: a certified project manager withmore than 6 years of large-scale cross-functional projects, who has already leda platform replacement or integration in a financial institution or riskcontext. The person must be able to speak the language of finance (derivatives,accounting, risk) with business teams, without being a domain specialist.

Requirements

Required:





- More than 6 years in project management in large-scalecontexts

- PMP / MGP / ACP certifications

- Experience in a risk management context and/or in afinancial institution

- Experience in the financial sector

- Basic knowledge of finance: financial derivatives,accounting, financial risk management

- Experience in a software integration and platform changeproject

- Management skills: complex contexts, communication,political acumen, team-oriented culture, planning and coordinating, leadershipand initiative

Asset:

- Master's or graduate degree in project management
