Ledcor Marine seeks an experienced Mate for its growing Marine division and large marine operation. The position oversees deck crews, maintains safety equipment, and manages the Safety Management System under the Master’s direct supervision. Experience includes tug and barge handling, tandem towing, voyage planning, Fraser River knowledge, bridge transits, and coastal navigation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee deck crew during deck operations and gear work
- Provide training on deck operations and gear work
- Maintain safety equipment and deck gear




- Manage the Safety Management System under Master supervision
- Stand navigation watch and promote Ledcor safety standards

Requirements:

- Chief Mate 150 GT or Chief Mate 500 GT Domestic certificate
- Three to five years’ sea service on a Coastal Tug
- Prior Mate experience and Transport Canada Marine Medical Certificate
- Basic Marine First Aid or Marine Advanced First Aid
- Tandem towing, voyage planning, and coastal navigation experience
