About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the mining equipment manufacturing sector, is looking for an Industrial Engineer with expertise in Process Design and Simulation. This hybrid role, based in Kimberley, Northern Cape , is key to developing and optimizing complex manufacturing and operational processes. You will leverage simulation software to model, analyze, and improve workflows, material handling, and production systems. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, proficiency in simulation tools, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure process designs meet efficiency, safety, and cost targets, working in office for key collaborations and remote for analysis and design work. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence operational strategy and drive innovation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and model complex manufacturing and logistical processes using simulation software.
- Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Develop recommendations for process optimization, including layout changes, resource allocation, and workflow adjustments.
- Validate simulation models against real-world data to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to implement approved process changes.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.




- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Stay current with advancements in simulation software and industrial engineering techniques.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering with a specialization in process simulation.
- Proficiency in simulation software such as Arena, AnyLogic, FlexSim, or similar.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, probability, and operations research.
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, comfortable working in a hybrid setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
