The Heart of the Work
As leaders in Indigenous health and family services, Carrier Sekani Family Services (CSFS) is committed to practicing differently by placing culture at the centre of everything we do. Working in partnership with Nation Elders, Hereditary Chiefs, communities, and families, we have grown since the late 1980s into a trusted organization of more than 615 employees serving 11 member Nations across Northern British Columbia. Through culturally grounded services, we honour the strengths, experiences, and values of Indigenous peoples while supporting the health and well‑being of the communities we serve.
Guided by Indigenous ways of knowing and being, our Child and Family teams believe that meaningful change begins with strong relationships and access to the right supports. Through advocacy, prevention, education, and resource navigation, we help individuals and families build on their strengths and overcome systemic barriers. Ultimately, our work helps build the stability and support needed for members to exercise self‑determination within their families and their communities.
