Lead mortgage underwriting teams at First National in Vancouver, using lending decisions, coaching, and relationship management skills. This is a full-time office position.

The Manager oversees Mortgage Underwriters, Associate Mortgage Underwriters, and Mortgage Funders within Third Party Residential Underwriting. You will guide mortgage application assessments, documentation review, funding, and service excellence. The position reports to the Assistant Vice President.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage team capacity through delegation and workflow monitoring
- Make lending decisions within established policies and limits
- Coach, train, and develop team members
- Build relationships with brokers and external partners
- Complete management reporting and performance reviews

Requirements:

- Three to five years mortgage underwriting experience
- Two or more years people management experience
- Solid analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage pressure during high-volume processing
- Mortgage Agent Course or BCFSA license considered an asset
