This Registered Nurse supports the Nephrology team at Vancouver General Hospital. The position provides care for clients with chronic renal failure and teaches families about management and treatment. Practice follows BCCNM standards, while emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration and clinical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide nursing care within a client-family centred model
- Teach clients and families about chronic renal failure treatment
- Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary health care teams




- Demonstrate leadership and advance clinical competence
- Participate in committees and approved research projects

Requirements:

- Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
- Advanced nephrology nursing program or two years' recent dialysis experience
- Knowledge of renal disease treatment and adult physiology
- Skill in hemo, nocturnal, and peritoneal dialysis techniques
- Basic computer literacy and CPR skills
