Compensation

$22.00–$45.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an organized Service Writer to act as the primary contact between our customers and our service technicians. In this role, you will greet clients, record their service needs, manage work orders, and handle final billing. The ideal employee thrives in a fast-paced environment and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and assist them at the service counter




- Listen to customer concerns and accurately record service requests
- Create and manage work orders
- Communicate job details to mechanics and shop staff
- Answer phones and respond to inquiries
- Schedule service work and provide updates
- Prepare invoices and process billing
- Coordinate parts orders
- Maintain organized documentation
- Support an efficient shop workflow

Skills & Qualifications

- Good communication and organizational abilities
- Comfortable answering phones and assisting customers
- Ability to multitask in a busy shop
- Basic computer and invoicing skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Interest in the marine industry is an asset
- Experience in marine or automotive environments is helpful but not required
